Robot friends, we are so excited to share that after a five year hiatus denkbots are back!

Ten years ago we began our Conceptual Robot in Three Days (cRi3D) experiment to help share our Requirements Based Robot Design process with the FIRST community. We shared this process in 2016 for Stronghold, in 2017 for Steamworks, in 2018 for Power Up, in 2019 for Deep Space, and in 2020 for Infinite Recharge.

Like a lot of folks we spent the last five years rebuilding, reprioritizing, and retooling. We grew our community, strengthened our FRC teams, and made a lot of new friends! From the fruits of those labors we are proud to present The Next Generation of this journey, a full blown Ri3D team from Indianapolis: Circle City Circuits!

With dozens of Ri3D teams producing content, you may ask yourself: Why should we follow this team’s socials? The answer is simple: We are going to have a lot of fun and we want to share that positive experience with you!

In the week leading up to kickoff will be updating this thread daily with new resources and content to help you navigate the process of… you guessed it: Requirements Based Robot Design! which will then lead into our first ever Ri3D!

Our technical lead, Garrett Wight, will be creating a classic build thread for Circle City Circuits before kickoff (that I will edit into this thread) so please be sure to follow along there for all of the technical resources you have come to expect from this amazing Ri3D community!

You can follow everything happening with Circle City Circuits (live stream, articles, videos, and more) on our social accounts below!

We can’t thank you enough for going on this journey with us, we truly hope this content helps you during the season, and we want to hear from you so please share our thoughts by tagging us on any social platform!
